INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
I offer individual therapy for patients of different ages, ranging from school-aged to adults. Sessions are typically weekly to every two weeks, and may include medication evaluation and on-going medication management if needed. As my private practice is a therapy and parent guidance-based practice, I do not currently offer exclusively medication consultation or medication management appointments.
COUPLES & FAMILY THERAPY
Though less often available, I offer couples and family therapy services with particular interest in helping couples and families navigate periods of major stress and/or life transition. Sessions are typically weekly to every two weeks.
PARENT GUIDANCE
I offer parent guidance for parents of school-aged through young adult children to address a range of issues, including parent-child communication and/or relationship difficulties, supporting parents through periods of family stress and/or life transition, including challenges like parenting through COVID-19, and helping parents best support their children and better understand their children’s developmental, emotional, and mental health needs. Session frequency varies based on each family’s circumstances and need.
PARENT WORKSHOPS & COMMUNITY TALKS
As part of my work with The Resilience Project Parents Program at NWH, along with my co-director Tai Katzenstein, Ph.D., I provide parent workshops and talks on the topic of resilience building, and supporting the emotional wellness of kids and teens. For more information about The Resilience Project, please visit the program Web site and/or follow the program on Facebook (@NWHResilienceProject).
ASIAN & ASIAN AMERICAN MENTAL HEALTH
In addition to my parent guidance work, I have particular interest and expertise in supporting Asian and Asian American students and families. For more information about the MGH Center for Cross-Cultural Student Emotional Wellness (CCCSEW) and the work that we do, please visit the program Web site and/or follow the Center on Facebook (@mghstudentwellness).
Please note: In the setting of COVID-19, all therapy services are currently being provided through tele-appointments, including phone and HIPAA-compliant video conferencing.
